Enhanced Intelligent Manufacturing Policies and Digital Technology Breakthroughs Drive Industry Upgrades.
In November 2025, the chemical casting industry showed a positive development trend, driven by the implementation of major projects and supportive policies and technologies. The most notable industry event this month was the official launch of the Fujian Zhongsha Refining and Chemical Project, with a total investment of 71.1 billion yuan, marking the entry of this “Belt and Road” flagship project into the substantive construction phase. The project is planned to have an annual refining capacity of 16 million tons and an ethylene production capacity of 1.5 million tons, and is expected to be fully operational by 2030, driving over 200 billion yuan in upstream and downstream industry chain investment. This project not only provides a strong boost to the chemical industry but also generates sustained and large-scale demand for core chemical equipment such as reaction equipment, separation equipment, and heat exchange equipment, providing domestic equipment manufacturers with clear market growth expectations and order guarantees.
At the policy level, intelligent and green transformation has become a mandatory requirement. The “Dezhou City Foundry Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan (2025-2027)” clearly states that it will cultivate more than 10 standardized enterprises and vigorously promote the application of advanced technologies such as digital twins and remote operation and maintenance. The plan emphasizes that green production processes must be implemented throughout the entire process, making technologies such as waste sand recycling and waste heat recovery mandatory compliance standards. At the same time, policies encourage leading enterprises to increase their R&D investment ratio to over 3%, ensuring the continuous improvement of the industry’s technological innovation capabilities from an institutional perspective.
Significant breakthroughs have been made in the technical field, with digital casting becoming a key to upgrading. At the magnesium-aluminum casting technology seminar, “digital simulation + real-time closed-loop control” was established as the core direction for industry technology upgrades. Innovative solutions represented by Yizumi’s LEAP technology can achieve dynamic real-time adjustment of die-casting parameters, significantly reducing the porosity and overall scrap rate of castings. The semi-solid injection molding technology it employs, through a virtual-real integrated process path, reduces the risk of new product development by more than 30%. This technology has been successfully implemented on a large scale in the Indian market, verifying its commercial value and international competitiveness.
The export market maintained steady growth, with emerging regions showing outstanding performance. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, from January to November 2025, my country’s exports of general machinery and equipment reached 442.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. Markets along the “Belt and Road” initiative contributed significantly to this growth. For example, China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) successfully signed a chemical cooperation memorandum at the CIET exhibition in Turkmenistan, marking Central Asia and Southeast Asia as emerging markets with the fastest growth in Chinese chemical equipment exports. This trend reflects the comprehensive advantages of Chinese equipment in terms of technological adaptability, cost-effectiveness, and delivery capabilities.
The localization process of high-end materials also saw frequent breakthroughs, strengthening the self-reliance and control capabilities of the industrial chain. Lanxiao Technology completed the full-line replacement of the fourth batch of bisphenol A catalysts for Wanhua Chemical’s production line. The spray granulation technology used significantly improved the stability and service life of the catalyst. On the other hand, China Salt Chemical disclosed that its 800-ton-per-year nuclear-grade high-purity sodium has been successfully applied to nuclear reactor coolant systems. This is not only a major technological breakthrough for the company but also marks a crucial step in the localization of core chemical materials under extreme operating conditions in China.
In summary, the industry dynamics in November 2025 clearly outline a development path driven by “large projects, strong policy support, new technology empowerment, and diversified export expansion.” The Sino-Saudi refining and chemical project provides a certain demand market, intelligent and green policies set a clear transformation path, digital technology is reshaping production efficiency and product quality, and the diversification of export markets opens up external space for growth. Facing these opportunities, enterprises should actively adjust their strategies, focus on technological research and development and process upgrades, and strengthen their layout in high-end equipment and green solutions to gain a favorable position in the new round of industry restructuring.
